9-Day Private Majestic tour, Tangier to Marrakech via Merzouga Sahara desert
Day 1 :
Tangier (Arrival & visit of the city)
Meet your driver at Tangier's port or airport, who will provide a brief review of your tour, then take you to your Riad where you will have quick pause before you start your visit that will start at the Cap Spartel and the Cave of Hercules – Located about fifteen minutes outside of Tangier on the Atlantic Coast are Cap Spartel and the legendary cave of Hercules. Those familiar with Greek mythology might recall the 12 Labors of Hercules. In fact, not far from Tangier, there is another location rumored to be the basis for Hercules’ Eleventh Labor: the apples of Hesperides (or “the golden apple”). It was after he retrieve the “golden apple” that it is thought Hercules rested in this cave at Cap Spartel. As beautiful as Cap Spartel is, it is also a bit of a tourist trap for Moroccans and non-Moroccans alike. Avoid anyone trying to be a “guide” as this cave is fairly simple to navigate. There are some unremarkable shops to ignore at beginning of the path leading down, but if you look up, you can see where locals have carved out round stones from the cave walls for generations. These stones were used in the milling of grains. Even more impressive is how the cave, in the shape of the continent of Africa, open up and looks out toward the Atlantic. After enjoying the cave, relax at one of the many beach-side cafes, the view on a nice day is unbeatable.
After that, we drive you back to your Riad for dinner and overnight.

Day 2:
Tangier - Chefchaouen
After breakfast in your Hotel around 8:30AM you will head toward Chefchaouen (Bleu city) which is a Morocco popular tourist attraction and welcoming town situated in the Rif Mountains just south of the Mediterranean coastline in northwest Morocco. This nice bleu city is known for its traditional buildings.
Enjoy a walk to explore the white and blue washed walls of the medina and the markets that offer some unique native handicrafts. Chefchaouen is a fantastic destination for photography with its wonderful views of the Rif Mountains. then after a quick pause at your Riad you will start discovering This nice bleu city that is known for its traditional buildings.

Day 3:
Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
After breakfast at your Riad, transfer to Meknes while on the way you will be visiting the impressive Roman ruins of Volubilis, as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the best preserved Roman ruins in this part of Northern Africa. Listen to your certified local guide explain about life in the Roman Empire as you peer into old bathhouses, marveling at the still-present mosaic floors and gazing up at the towering marble pillars . then a visit of the imperial city of Meknes that includes a stop bythe impressive 18th century Bab Mansour, the ornamental gate to the imperial city of Meknes built by Sultan Moulay Ismail ,until you get to Moulay Ismail’s massive Heri es Souani, This was his personal stable & granary for his 12,000 horses, then you will pass by the entrance of the Meknes Royal Palace just before taking the highway to Fes for dinner and overnight at your Riad.

Day 4:
Fes (Full-day guided city tour)
After breakfast at your hotel your driver and a local guide, will both be taking you in a long journey exploring the world’s largest Medina dates back to the 9th century walking through its alleys and small streets with one of the best guides in fez.
Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate; the Jewish headquarter named "Mellah" built in the 16th century. You explore the medina’s many artisans’ quarters, such as the brass, copper and wedding adornment souks.
The carpenters, bakers & butchers also have their area of the medina that they call home.
A highlight is a visit to the famous Fes tannery, where you have great views from a panoramic viewpoint over the men hard at work treating and dying the different hides. We’ll also get to see its religious and historical heart when you visit Moulay Idriss II’s Mausoleum (the founder of Fes), the 9th century Al Karaouine University and one of the many Medrasas (Koranic school).
The al-Qarawiyyin mosque, a religious school / college was founded by Fatima al-Fihri in 859 with an associated school, or madrasa, which subsequently became one of the leading spiritual and educational centers of the historic Muslim world. It was incorporated into Morocco’s modern state university system in 1963. Dinner and overnight at your Riad.

Day 5:
Fes - Ifran - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga
Today you leave Fez towards Merzouga (the city of the big dune), En-route you’ll pass through a scenic forest of cedars and across the Middle Atlas Mountain range to the mineral mining city of Midelt, where a stop for lunch is scheduled. This journey continues along through the dramatic Ziz valley which is particularly well-known for its palm trees and the length of the palm oasis (palm grove) All along the road there are innumerable ksars, small villages of individual houses.
From here you reach Erfoud, famous for its dates festival and mineral fossils. After an approximate 7 hours of travel you will arrive at your final destination of Merzouga.
You will then ride by camel over the sands as the sun begins to set and as you reach the magnificent Erg Chebbi sand dunes, witness them turning a wonderful red hue.
You will spend the overnight with dinner in your luxury desert camp with private treatment and local entertainment to enjoy this celestial overnight in the heart of the Sandy dunes.
Overnight in Merzouga.
Day 6:
Merzouga - Rissani - Tinghir - Todra Gorges - Skoura
Wake up early with a picturesque sunrise before enjoying your breakfast, head back to Merzouga to re-join your car and continue your journey towards Todra Gorge travelling along the rugged Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. This area has long been a popular location for Hollywood films such as The Last Temptation of Christ and Jewel of the Nile. you arrive to the stunning gorges of Todra where springs of water runs between the rocks and enjoy the views of natural beauty. Take a short exploratory walk into the Todra Gorge with its high walls of pink and grey rock which surround you and an altitude of 300m, and if you’re luck you will meet few climbers there. You continue through Boumalne Dades and Roses valley to Skoura for dinner and overnight.
Overnight in Skoura or Ouarzazate.
Day 7:
Skoura - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Today after breakfast, you will drive towards the city tour of Ouarzazate, a desert city at the gates of the Sahara. Its name means "without noise" in the Berber language, In this city many popular movies had been shot, such as the Gladiator, Star wars, Game of thrones, Kingdom of heaven, Mummy 1 & 2 and a lot more. Walk in the Taourirt Kasbah, an impressive structure that was built to house hundreds of people.
Finally, you will visit one of the jewels of Morocco which is Kasbah Ait Benhaddou as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987- the true treasures must be searched out and discovered… usually off the beaten path. After lunch,
you travel to Marrakesh crossing the High Atlas Mountain range via the magnificent Tichka pass(2260m) which considered as the highest mountain pass in Morocco, or highest road point. This pass offers a stunning view over the north version with its Berber villages due to its location and height, and driving after until we get you to Marrakech for dinner and overnight at your Riad.

Day 8:
Marrakech (Full-day guided city tour)
After breakfast you will enjoy the guided city tour of Marrakech with a local guide, always accompanied with your driver taking you all around the red city.
The morning begins with a visit to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque as the landmark of Marrakech which has inspired other buildings such as the Giralda of Seville and the Hassan Tower of Rabat. Your next stop is the Bahia Palace, and the Saadian Tombs. The Saadian tombs in Marrakech date back from the time of the sultan Ahmad al-Mansur. The tombs were discovered in 1917 and were restored by the Beaux-arts service. The mausoleum comprises the interments of about sixty members of the Saadian Dynasty that originated from the valley of the Draa River.
After lunch break, we will make sure to take you visit the Yves St Laurent gardens, after that back to the Medina, you Continue to the world-famous Jemaa el Fna Square, which houses an array of food, snake charmers, local musicians, and fortune-tellers. There’s nowhere on Earth like the Jemaa el Fna, the square at the heart of old Marrakesh. You will also walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts.

Day 9:
Marrakech - Casablanca (Airport)
A drive then back to the airport of Casablanca airport Med V for your way back home after enjoying an amazing trip around our beautiful country.
