9-Day private tour, Imperial cities & Sahara desert from Fes
Day 1:
Fes arrival at the airport.
Arrival at Fes Saïss Airport, welcomed by your driver and escorted to your Riad in the Medina for overnight.
8:00 PM dinner reservation at Palais Faraj’s Amandier rooftop restaurant, your driver will take you there and drive you back to your Riad for overnight.

Day 2:
(Guided visit of the city)
Breakfast at your Riad. At 9:00 AM, meet your guide at your Riad.
Your driver and guide are at your disposal today to take you all around.
Dive into the medina of Fes, itself a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Experience the scents and rhythms of Morocco’s cultural capital.
Founded at the confluence of the Rif and Middle Atlas Mountains, Fes has been a center of scholarship and trade for over 1200 years.
Walk down Talaa Kebira, the spine of Fes el Bali to the Medersa Bou Inania. The Medersa was part seminary, part dormitory and is a splendid example of Moroccan architecture’s three core elements: intricate tile mosaics, carved plaster and painted cedar.
As you explore this morning, you will wind in and out of a variety of souks – from vegetable markets through the street of butchers, alleys of Harira soup cafes, weavers, carpenters and so much more. Pass communal bread ovens that are very much a part of daily medina life.
The Nejjarine Museum of Wooden Arts & Crafts is a beautifully restored example of the many foundouks –lodging for traders from far and near – that were an important part of Fes’ commercial past.
Pass the Blue Gate, the shrine of Moulay Idriss, and peak through the many entrances of the massive Al Quaraouiyine Mosque.
Continue to the iconic (and pungent!) Chouara Tanneries. It’s best to head up to the balconies of one of the shops that will welcome you with a sprig of mint and a memorable view.
We will then drive you back to your Riad for dinner and overnight.
Overnight in Fes.
Day 3:
Fes – Ifran - Midelt – Erfoud
After breakfast, transfer to the heart of the desert. The trip takes you through the middle Atlas Mountains, a cedar forest and through many Amazigh cities and villages. Stop first at Ifrane, nicknamed “Morocco’s Switzerland”.
Ifrane is a charming ski town populated by European-style chalets and surrounded by a large cedar forest. Continue to Midelt where you will stop for an optional lunch. Transfer along the Ziz River, passing through a series of fortified villages before getting to Erfoud for overnight, but just before that you will encounter the Oued (river) Ziz and the Ziz valley that punctuate the landscape with their brilliant green palms, the biggest and longest palm grove in Morocco, with its 40km all filled with 100s of palm trees, and with the golden prehistoric valley walls towering above you, and the dusty ancient kashbah’s & ksar (Berber Kastle), the Ziz lends a feel of what it might be like to mix the worlds of Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones, making it the perfect place to put on your explorers’ hat and go on an adventure. After a long drive we get to your Hotel for dinner and overnight.
Overnight in Erfoud.
Day 4:
Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga
This day you will be heading for the real desert experience (Merzouga) with its big sandy dunes, before leaving Erfoud a first stop will perhaps be by one of their mineral fossils exposition
And fabrication workshops, so that you can have an idea how they’re made.
As for these fossils, during the Paleozoic era - about 540 million to 250 million years ago - the southeast of Morocco lay under the sea.
The city of Erfoud is also well known for the Dates at first place, with its annual dates festival and for the mineral fossils, we will then leave Erfoud heading for Merzouga passing by Rissani city first,
A former major caravan center, here you may also have some fresh camel’s milk if interested,
after 30 min of drive after we leave Rissani we get to the city of Merzouga, once we arrive we will take you straight to enjoy what we call the Gnawa music in a Nomad village of el Khamlia, a unique house which can’t be found anywhere else in country.
An optional lunch is scheduled just afterwards, after that we will take you to your Riad where you will relax and have some drink before you ride your camels to take you to your camp for overnight, where you will enjoy a Berber dinner together with Berber men playing their drums around a fire and under shooting stars.
Overnight in Merzouga.
Day 5:
Merzouga – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Skoura – Ouarzazate
Enjoy an optional early morning sunrise camel ride along the golden sand dunes in Merzouga. Return for breakfast before we drive you to Tinghir, which is a gorgeous oasis, that boasts one of the largest palm groves in the country, also known as the city of a 1000 Kasbah, some of the popular American movies were shot there such as the Last temptation of Christ.
Enjoy walking at the Todra Gorge, a famous Moroccan Canyons with a height of 300m, carved deep into the High Atlas Mountains.
Leave Tinghir heading to Ouarzazate passing by city of roses, a large village famous for cultivating roses. Expect to find many fine, rose-infused products there. Transfer to Ouarzazate, also known as “Morocco’s Hollywood,” for dinner and overnight.

Day 6:
Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Enjoy the city tour of Ouarzazate, In this city many popular movies had been shot, such as the Gladiator, Star wars, game of thrones, Kingdom of heaven, Mummy 1 & 2 and a lot more, beginning with the Taourirt Kasbah. The latter is considered one of the most beautiful Kasbahs in the country; indeed it is maze where you can easily get lost without a guide.
Next, visit the Oscar film studios, where some of the most famous desert landscapes were and are still being shot. Continue on to the spectacular fortress of Ait Ben Haddou, The Kasbah is a UNESCO world heritage site since 1987.
Leave Ait Ben Haddou crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the magnificent Tizi’N Tichka pass (2262m) which is considered the highest road point in Morocco, getting you later to your Riad in Marrakech for dinner and overnight.

Day 7:
Marrakech (Guided city tour)
After breakfast you will enjoy the guided city tour of Marrakech with a local guide, always accompanied with your driver taking you all around the red city.
The morning begins with a visit to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque as the landmark of Marrakech which has inspired other buildings such as the Giralda of Seville and the Hassan Tower of Rabat. Your next stop is the Bahia Palace, and the Saadian Tombs. The Saadian tombs in Marrakech date back from the time of the sultan Ahmad al-Mansur. The tombs were discovered in 1917 and were restored by the Beaux-arts service. The mausoleum comprises the interments of about sixty members of the Saadian Dynasty that originated from the valley of the Draa River. After lunch break, we will make sure to take you visit the Yves St Laurent garden, which is a two and half acre botanical garden and artist's landscape garden in Marrakech, It was created by the French Orientalist artist, Jacques Majorelle over almost forty years.
After that, back to the Medina again, you continue to the world-famous Jemaa el Fna Square, which houses an array of food, snake charmers, local musicians, and fortune-tellers. There’s nowhere on Earth like the Jemaa el Fna, the square at the heart of old Marrakesh. You will also walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts.
Your driver and guide will take you back to your Riad and again try to get some rest because we will still pick you up from your Riad at 8pm to take you enjoy an amazing Fantasia show with dinner, something very special that you can’t find anywhere else,
It is the place of 1001 nights with Moroccan hospitality, which offers guests a sumptuous dinner and a memorable show in Berber tents. Belly dancers, acrobats, riders, fireworks
After enjoying an unforgettable show, we drive you back to your Riad for overnight.
Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 8:
Marrakech – Casablanca.
Today we head for the port city and commercial hub in western Morocco, fronting the Atlantic Ocean. The city's French colonial legacy is seen in its downtown Mauresque architecture, a blend of Moorish style and European art deco. We head now for the coast passing by the (Sacré Coeur) or Sacred heart Cathedral which was designed by French architect Paul Tournon in 1930 using the Neo-Gothic style, starting the day with a visit to the mosque of Hassan II,
The mosque is located on a peninsula overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It can be seen as a gigantic building where classical and modern styles are perfectly integrated.
With room for 25,000 worshippers and its minaret of 210 meters, this is the second largest mosque in the world and the one with the tallest minaret in the world.
We’ll take you then to the Morocco Mall, the second-largest shopping center in Africa The mall features a massive 1,000,000 liter aquarium that contains over 40 different species of fish. The aquarium is called "Aquadream" and was designed and built by International Concept Management (ICM). Visitors have the opportunity to take a ride through the center of the cylinder shaped aquarium with a 360-degree view of the sea life.
After Lunch that perhaps you may have at the mall itself, we will drive you to your hotel for overnight.

Overnight in Casablanca.
Day 9:
Casablanca Airport
This is the last day in which we drive you back to the airport to catch your flight back home, after
having a great Moroccan experience of both Modern and traditional life with beautiful pictures and good memories to tell others about.
